Standing up for Boundary-Similkameen.

Roly Russell was born and raised in rural Grand Forks, and is proud to call this place home. Roly and his wife Christine, along with their two children Juno and Gabriel, appreciate the endless recreational opportunities, support for local food, and tight-knit community here.

In 2018, Roly stepped up for this community, when the 2018 floods devastated Grand Forks. He worked tirelessly to assist residents in need, work with emergency operations, and secure provincial and federal help.

Roly is looking out for you and has been an elected leader with the Regional District and the Association of Kooteney Boundary Local Governments, chaired the local Credit Union, and led the West Kootenay and Boundary Regional Hospital District.

Roly is deeply passionate about agriculture, food security, and sustainable forestry and will be a tireless advocate for Boundary-Similkameen’s robust farming economy. He has a background in ecology and has developed local food strategies, co-founded an agricultural society, sat on the board of the Certified Organic Association of BC, and operated his own farm.

Roly cares about the issues that matter here, and will stand up for rural BC, public education, healthcare, and the environment – working hard every day to make life better and more affordable for people in the Boundary-Similkameen.
